Welcome to The Rev. Dr. Susanna (Susie) Fitch-Slater. Susie has been named Associate Pastor at Edenton United Methodist Church. She, her husband Tom, and sons Mike and Tim are genuinely excited about moving to Edenton and becoming active members of the EUMC family. She will team with Pastor Moseley to provide expanded pastoral services and care to the Edenton United Methodist Church family. Rev. Fitch-Slater will focus on many areas of ministry and outreach. She also serves as Youth Director for the Elizabeth City District. Rev. Fitch-Slater has been active with the Yellow House Ministry, serving Dare County young people recovering from drug abuse. As a dynamic and inspirational preacher, she has been in demand for many District and Conference functions for the UM Church. In 2005, she preached during the Festival of Faith at EUMC.
She has served at the Center Hill United Methodist Church in Tyner and several different churches in Connecticut.
Praise and Worship Service every Sunday at 10 a.m.
in the Family Life Center. Brian Smith is Worship Leader for the service. Brian describes himself as a “preacher's kid from the Wilmington, NC area". Both his father and grandfather were regional preachers. Brian is a self-taught musician who has been involved in Southern Gospel music since childhood. He is a talented keyboardist and vocalist, and a prominent member of the Rocky Hock Opry. He has recorded CDs and performs frequently with various bands and at church functions. Brian mixes his music career with his operation of Albemarle Air Conditioners in the Hertford and Edenton areas.
He is excited about the opportunity to bring his talents to the service at EUMC. His goal is to facilitate a worship service that is exciting and growing in the pursuit of excellence in telling the “Good News". Brian's role is to prepare the congregation for the Word that is brought by Pastor Charles Moseley. |
